The threat is real
It's an ordinary day in Southern California. The traffic is horendous, the sun is shining and the surfers are out. It is also a normal work day at the San Onofre Nuclear Facility near San Diego until out of nowhere explosives are detonated, a firestorm erupts and terrorists take over the high security compaound. A local Highway Patorl Officer radios for help and soon the plant is surrounded by police and intelligence units trying to grasp the severity of the situation.
The FBI finds a rental car with all the markings of Al Qaeda: a Koran with terrorist instructions, blueprints of the plant nd a drivers license with the name Khalid Jarrah. All the clues point to a 9/11 type scenario - but who are these people? A massive local evacuation is underway, the media is going crazy and the authorities have no leads. A disaster of unimaginable horror looms. Then Khalid manages to tap into the major news satellites and his shadowy image is broadcast across the country and around the world. He tells the public that the US government is responsible for this event that they have not learned their lessons form the 9/11 terrorist attacks and that no US nuclear facilities have yet been terror-proofed.
While the government scrambles to avoid a nuclear catastrophe, they come across a shocking revelation - the terrorists are ex-US Marines.
