Life hasn't been kind to Norval. In his thirties, living with his mother, and struggling with alcoholism, Norval has started to give up on life. He's been estranged from his father for years and it has haunted him. Out of the blue, Norval receives a letter from his absent father requesting Norval visit. He accepts the invitation hoping it will give him some closure and the ability to move on with his life. Norval is impressed with his father's remote, waterfront cabin. However, shortly after he arrives, Norval realizes this encounter may not be the reunion he was hoping for, and maybe there was a reason his father was not part of his life for such a long time.
